Dr Yomi Desert Classic Foundation – Dr. Yomi Desert Classic (DYDC) began in 2021 when I hosted a group of friends in the Coachella Valley for a weekend of golf and camaraderie. It was suggested that we find a local charity to raise money for. The First Tee of Coachella Valley (FTCV) was picked as the local organization to support. As of the conclusion of DYDC 5 last June at Whistling Straits, Kohler, WI, we have donated over $575,000 to FTCV!

The Dr. Yomi Desert Classic Foundation is proud to partner with First Tee, a nationally recognized youth development organization that uses golf as a platform to build character and life skills. Together, we’re expanding access to mentorship, leadership training, and athletic development for young people across our communities. This partnership strengthens our shared commitment to empowering youth through values-driven programming, creating pathways for personal growth, academic success, and lifelong confidence—both on and off the course.
